Corporate Governance

Enterprise Risk Management

The Corporation's principal financial instruments comprise cash and cash equivalents, receivables, investments in debt instruments, securities, short-term and long-term bank loans and other similar instruments.

The Corporation is very prudent whenever an investment opportunity arises to ensure that such investment will earn an adequate yield and any gain will help the Corporation achieve its strategic goals.

As with other corporations in the same industry, the main risks in the use of these financial instruments are credit risk, liquidity risk, interest rate risk, foreign currency risk, and equity price risk. The performance of all investments and their attendant risks are monitored by the Business Development Committee.
